Kingshill House was home to a number of colourful characters before Swindon Corporation acquired it and transformed it into a maternity home in 1933.
Yesterday the present owner's Kingshill Trust (Community of Faith) opened their doors and invited those who had been born there to come and have a look around.
Today the beautifully restored property has a number of functions including crisis care facilities, community rooms and the new Urban Monk Coffee Shop open Fridays from midday.
